Fairview football wins rivalry game over Rocky River

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio- Tom Narducci’s coaching debut for Fairview ended in triumph, as the Warriors emerged with a 38-26 victory over rival Rocky River.

Fairview drove inside the Rocky River red zone multiple times in the first quarter, emerging with 17 points. The Pirates kept the game within reach with long touchdown pass in the first and second quarters, placing the score at 24-14 at halftime.

The Fairview rushing attack ground to a halt in the third quarter and Rocky River took advantage, narrowing the score to 24-20 heading into the fourth quarter. But the day belonged to Narducci and the Warriors. The Rocky River defense surrendered a pair of critical rushing touchdowns to Fairview in the fourth. Though the Pirates would score on a lengthy touchdown pass in the final period, the Warriors emerged with a win.
